Gary Linden nasceu no dia 11 de dezembro de 1949, em El Centro, California. O Surf tem sido o seu hino desde os 12 anos de idade. Modelou pranchas para os maiores surfistas mundiais durante 50 anos, mas é mais conhecido por construir pranchas para ondas grandes. É Fundador e Vice-Presidente do WSL Big Wave Tour. Surfou ondas grandes durante toda a sua vida, mas apanhou a sua primeira onda na Nazaré em 2017, aos 67 anos de idade.

Esta belíssima prancha modelada por Gary Linden foi oferecida ao Presidente da Câmara Municipal, Walter Chicharro, na cerimónia preparatória do “Nazaré Challenge 2016”, que por sua vez a ofereceu ao projeto Surfer Wall.

Gary Linden was born on December 11th, 1949, in El Centro California. Surfing has been is paean since he was 12 years old. Shaping surfboards for the top surfers of the World for 50 years, he is now known primarily for the big wave boards he crafts. The Founder of the Big Wave World Tour he serves as Vice President for the WSL Big Wave Tour. A lifelong big wave surfer he rode his first wave at Nazaré at the age of 67 this year.

Gary Linden offered this beautiful surfboard that he shaped to the Mayor of Nazaré, Walter Chicharro, during the “Nazaré Challenge 2016” preparation ceremony. The Mayor gave it to the Surfer Wall project.
